TWSBI Diamond 580 Review - Part 2
Alright, Welcome to Part 2 of the TWSBI Diamond 580 Rose Gold Edition Fountain Pen review!
The pen measures 14.2 cm long when capped and 13 cm uncapped. There isn’t a measurement included when posted (i.e. the cap placed on the back of the pen) because this pen isn’t meant to be posted and would be back-heavy balanced while writing.
The cap itself is 6 cm long, 1.4 cm at its widest point excluding the clip, and 1.9 cm at its widest point with the clip.
The main parts of the pen is plastic, with the metal parts being stainless steel coated in Rose Gold (karat unknown). This applies to the cap as well. O-Rings and some of the piston mechanism is rubber.
The nib is stainless steel and also coated in Rose Gold (top and bottom of the nib). To my knowledge as of this review the nib is made by the German company Jowo (pronounced YO-VOH). The nib is interchangeable with the non-Rose Gold TWSBI Diamond 580 nib assemblies. As I know this is a #5 sized nib. There are no replacement Rose Gold nibs, you can only buy another pen for another Rose Gold nib.
I am unsure of the feed’s material, most likely plastic.
Next we will go into this pen’s actual writing ability in Part 3!
May take awhile, I’d like to use this pen for some time before sharing my results.
